Lindsey Robinson is an experienced psychotherapist / counsellor working in both private practice and the NHS. Lindsey started her training in 2009 at The Counselling Foundation (previously known as Herts and Beds Counselling Foundation). Lindsey is a member of both the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC) and the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and abides by their ethical code of practice, she has an up to date Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) Certificate.

Professional Qualifications

Lindsey completed her Postgraduate Diploma in Foundations of Psychodynamic Psychotherapy at The Tavistock and Portman NHS Trust, London, and has undertaken further training at The Tavistock, in order to deepen and enhance her professional work. Before this Lindsey qualified as a counsellor through The Counselling Foundation, by completing a Foundation Certificate and then a Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling.

Lindsey has a BA (Hons) Degree in Business and Marketing from Wolverhampton University and worked in industry for a number of years.

Professional Experience

As well as a private practice in Harpenden, working with adults who come for help, Lindsey also works as an  honorary psychotherapist for the NHS, in the Trauma service of The Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust, and before that as part of their Community Mental Health Team in St Albans. Lindsey spent a number of years as a counsellor at The Counselling Foundation and as a school counsellor at The Samuel Whitbread Academy, Bedfordshire.
